Part 7: Fixing installation methods
1. Pre-installation
Pre-installation is the most common installation method when using nylon plugs, for example, and in fixing light objects.
2. Push-through installation
Push-through installation is the most convenient installation method when there are several objects to be positioned or the object requires more than one drill hole. If possible, the drill hole is drilled straight through the fixed object, thereby avoiding alignment problems.
3. Distance installation
The distance installation technique is particularly used in facade installation when the object or structure being fixed must be separate from the fixing base. Distance installations are limited by the fixing-specific maximum thickness of the fixed material, specified by value tfix. In distance installation, the fixing is subjected to additional torque. Distance installation usually requires a metal anchor with metric threads for locking nuts.
